As we look back on the past year, it's the perfect time to share a little holiday magic for Palm Bay's future. What better way to do that than with a festive wish list?
So, grab a cup of cocoa, get cozy, and enjoy this cheerful poem filled with our biggest hopes for the city we love!
Our Wish for Palm Bay
As Christmas lights twinkle on each Palm Bay street,
We gather our hopes for the city so sweet.
A wish list we bring, to Santa we'll send,
For the needs of our city and the dreams we intend.
A permanent leader to guide with a plan,
A City Manager's heart for the good of our land.
More officers and gear for safety and peace,
So our neighbors sleep sound, and our worries all cease.
Roads to be mended and bridges renewed,
To support all the traffic that growth has ensued.
New jobs and industries—a diverse kind of spree,
To keep our economy stable and free.
Green parks and clean air, our nature preserved,
With efforts toward green, our Earth is well served.
Learning for all, from students to skilled,
A workforce prepared so that dreams are fulfilled.
Homes that are priced for the families we cherish,
Affordable spaces, so no one need perish.
Communities thriving, engaged, and so strong,
Where people feel heard, and where all voices belong.
Buses and pathways to get where we go,
Transport for many, not just those in the know.
And parks full of laughter, with cultures to see,
Recreation and arts to bind you and me.
Oh Santa, we ask not for trinkets or toys,
But for the city we love to be full of such joys.
With leaders, and workers, and neighbors in tune,
May these wishes come true under this winter moon.
