Evans Community Deli Market in Palm Bay, Florida, is offering a free hot lunch to school-aged students on Friday, April 7th, during the Brevard Public Schools student holiday. The lunch service will take place on Evans porch from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm.
This free lunch initiative is made possible by the generous support of the Melbourne Police Department Law Enforcement Trust Fund, which has been funding free hot lunches at Evans during student holidays this semester. The Evans Center is located at:
1361 Florida Ave NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905. Phone: 321-802-5142.
Founded in 1965 by Mr. Roosevelt "Ross" Evans, the Evans Community Deli Market has been a pillar of the Palm Bay community, providing not only employment opportunities but also a gathering place for local residents. In recent years, community leaders and organizations have worked together to revitalize the market and return it to its former status as a valuable community asset.
The current Evans Center, unveiled in 2019, embodies a community healthy living model and aims to continue Mr. Evans' vision of a strong, prosperous, and healthy community. The free lunch program during student holidays is just one example of the center's commitment to supporting the needs of the Palm Bay community.
