Thanks . I was on vacation last month and am catching up with some of the meetings I missed. I was watching this one, and after a presentation on "Sustainability", Mr Batten addressed the council on Aug 7, where he pointed out several ambiguities.(around minute marker :41 on the podcast video) One that especially caught my ear was, Bill implied that in these recently approved Housing developments, the residents are allowed to have wells (along with their City utilities). As homeowner with a well, I'm happy for them. HOWEVER, when the mandatory Utility Connection ordinance was passed, part of the justification by our previous Utilities director (last known whereabouts West Melbourne) was these wells were to be capped in order to preserve Palm Bay's "precious" water resources. If Bill is correct (and he usually is) the City is nurturing massive housing developments with wells. If I understand this correctly, this appears to me, that the City wants to eliminate well access to individual homeowners but features them in these massive new developments?
