Palm Bay Magnet High School Robotics Team Wins Energy Award
Team Advances to VEX Robotics World Championship
The Palm Bay Magnet High School Robotics Team won the Energy Award and placed 13th overall in the Programming/Driver Skills competitions at the VEX VRC North/Central Florida High School Regional Championship in Tampa, Florida.
The team, PiraTech Robotics, is coached by Mr. Allen. The students on the team are Jaedon Hight, Josh Furber, Josh St. Croce, Cody Franklin, and Lila Ianowski.
PiraTech Robotics competed against teams from all over Florida. The team won the Energy Award for their innovative design and implementation of a system that collected and stored energy from the environment.
The team also placed 13th overall in the Programming/Driver Skills competitions. The team programmed and drove their robot to complete a series of tasks in a timed competition.
The team is excited to advance to the VEX Robotics World Championship next month in Dallas, Texas. They are looking forward to competing against teams from all over the world
