The goal should be Traffic Flow not Traffic Control.

Think about the name Gateway. Already a Gateway area in Melbourne and there is no sense in confusing people.

Seems like another case of putting the horse before the cart! The problem with Malabar Road is the lack of lanes in each direction. Major backups and delays are prevalent. The worst of these delays happening between Minton and Heritage.

Influx of residential ownership that has been granted/permitted is not even at 25% complete. Traversing the road is a daily nightmare for most of the present population.

Lighting, plantings, etc are not, and should not take precedence over an actual widening of the roadway. This is just another way of spending monies that are desperately needed for other plans and programs. A week ago last Sunday, there was a brief period where winds in our area exceeded 60 miles an hour. As of this writing, the fallen foliage debris still litters Malabar Road. I can only imagine that is because of lack of funds to clean it up.

The current Palm Bay administration needs to realize that we are rapidly approaching critical mass! Some real financial evaluation without false promises and plans needs to be conducted immediately!
