There needs to be a deep dive into the Human Resourses Dept. Group 1 employees are grossly overpaid. Another area is employee benefits. 401K is twice as high as private sector employers pay.

Trimming the fat takes decisions some may balk at.

Now how about the overall savings instead of assumption reporting.

Nobody asked for this news for their opinion. Kindly stick to facts.

We had 8 years and counting of opinion based media. Do better then them.

Three $50,000 promotions in consecutive years is excessive considering that most people in Palm Bay did not make that much in a year!

This decision should have been made by the previous council. My road is half dirt because she made promises and did not do the right thing by the residents on my street. When they started the road bond in 2020 she should’ve negotiated a complete deal at that time, but not piece by piece. That is why some of the roads in this city were never done! She made way too much money for someone with her capabilities. I don’t care how nice of a person she is we were paying her and her assistant manager and then another manager under her. Her salary wasn’t just $251,000, it was her salary and her other two helpers salary. This city needs to be downsized which will give more money to the budget and the city will run more efficiently. Also performance evaluations for every employee before giving a 5% raise. If every department head has an assistant it’s time to β€œcut the fat!”

Thanks, another example would be the traffic light at Malabar road and Wisteria ave . It's been six months since the installation began. SIX Months! And it's still not finished. Also, this will need to be removed when the road widening on Malabar begins. Where was the city manager? This is just one of many examples regarding the shameful miss management of the City Manager. Good riddance! Palm Bay residents will save money in the long run.

In the future how about running a story that talks about the waste of tax payer money that's been happening. I for one am grateful that the new leadership is finally going to hold people accountable for not doing their jobs.

No need for head hunter agency. Done that when they hired the last bunch of criminals. Did not pick anyone on the list. This is probably a way of bringing them back. Everyone please monitor this an do not let that happen

There's so much more to that story. It was nothing like how it looked on the surface, it was 10 times worse.
