The work, which involves maintenance on power poles, will be conducted by FPL’s contractor, Pike Construction. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution when traveling through the affected areas during the scheduled work hours.

Scheduled Dates, Times, and Traffic Management

The utility work is scheduled to take place over five days, starting December 1, 2025, and concluding on December 5, 2025. All operations will occur during daytime hours, with closures active between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily. This timeline is intended to avoid peak commuting times.

Pike Construction will implement lane detour and shift operations utilizing channelizing devices. The traffic management plan for all locations is identified by the city as Flagging Index 102-603. Drivers should plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time if their daily commute involves these segments of road.

Six separate locations across Palm Bay’s southeast and southwest quadrants will experience these temporary Palm Bay road closures. The work is concentrated primarily in the Southeast section of the city. Drivers must strictly adhere to the temporary traffic control measures in place.
