PALM BAY — The City of Palm Bay Public Works Department has issued a traffic advisory affecting the northeast section of the city. Starting Thursday, December 18, crews will mobilize on Lipscomb Street to perform critical utility drainage lining.
This operation focuses specifically on the 4600 block of Lipscomb Street (near 4630 Lipscomb St). Residents and commuters in the area should prepare for active construction zones.
What You Need to Know
Dates: Thursday, Dec. 18 and Friday, Dec. 19.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
Impact: Expect lane closures requiring traffic shifts. Channelizing devices will be in place to guide vehicles safely around the work zone. Additionally, sidewalks in the immediate vicinity will be closed to pedestrian traffic.
This maintenance involves “cured-in-place” lining, a method used to rehabilitate drainage pipes without extensive excavation. It is an essential part of maintaining our city’s infrastructure.
