Thanks Tom, I have a suggestion, lets have a budget meeting where every line item is put on a big screen before the public, and let our leaders justify every line item (or eliminate it). How about a bonus incentive for employees that eliminate budget items. This is a Florida municipality that's had a windfall in new tax revenue like most other locals in Florida. Did we ever hear the results of the DOGE effort? They need to get in gear, because the Governor (with his elimination of homestead property taxes proposal) is otherwise going to do it for them...
