What burden is Brevard allegedly shifting to the cities?

Are Brevard taxes lower than other counties because our county is more efficient?

I'm no dummy but, this was one of the most confusing articles I have read coming from the AI generated PalmBayer. I can't be the only person reading these articles that feels this way. I have asked this entity to explain exactly what the millage rate means in simple terms. This would be a good educator for many readers.

In summary, (with my college education) it seems that by having the residential rolecall continues to grow year after year. The city is not receiving enough tax funds to support the services that the expanding population requires! I have said before, Palm Bay needs to attract businesses that are willing to purchase land/property at a lesser reduction for purchase but are able to support a larger tax responsibility. They also need to kick in a higher amounts towards infrastructure growth and repair. The selling point and attraction being the beauty of this city and what we can offer to their employees. We need a PR person and salesperson to go out and find this firms.

if not,

The population of this community will grow and grow and not have enough services and funds available to support the residents..... continuing on this current path will just result in a quickening of circling around and down the drain.

in the meantime,

The current residents must be able to chip a small amount (yes, a tax hike) in the form of tax or millage rate increase. This might support the slowing of the downward spiral trajectory that we are currently experiencing.

If the city is averaging 430 new residents a month is that from home ownership or rentals? and if it is mostly rentals be it a home rental or apartment what are the tax receipts from rentals and do they cover the increase in services and infrastructure If you rent a home supposedly the absentee owner can't claim homestead exemption what is the property tax for apartments
