I dedicate my sobriety to my missing Sister Marissa Garcia. She went missing on 12/23/23 and I was arrested for a VOP on January 9, 2024. I never got to really look into her disappearance. I did an attempt but it was a addicts attempt. My sister and I used together the last time I seen her. And our last conversation we had before she left that night was about her kids and how she wanted both of us to go to rehab. I was sentenced on 4/09/24 to 18 months in FLDOC. I am currently in work release. I have a job where my boss has been in NA for 30 years! I had another opportunity to work at IHOP but I was sent home for now having the right shoes. Long story short my current boss called me and asked if I could come in the next day at 7 am and I’ve been there ever since. I prayed for this sign from my higher power. My mom had asked me if working a server job would be a trigger and that thought wouldn’t leave my mind. I work in a warehouse sorting tile and carpets, organizing shipments, and driving forklifts. I’m around sober people and people who understand where I am and where I need to be. My dedication to my sister is that if/when I see her again or if she’s looking down at me that she sees me doing what she asked of me during our last conversation. I am her sister and I am the one who contacted my brother to report I hadn’t seen her after the 23rd of December. I have been incarcerated on the FL DOC for the last 15 months and haven’t been in contact with family. I was arrested on January 9, 2024 and I am severely hurt to see that there is little to no information about her where abouts or information about the fights she had with Jasmine Wood or her boyfriend Carlos and Malcolm or his ex girlfriend’s involvement. I am guilty of using with my sister and I regret every single choice I made while I had my younger sister in my life.
