Building E Update: City Hall Campus Expansion Relocations Begin

Palm Bay residents will see the Building Department and Utilities Customer Service move to a new modern facility this month.

The City Hall campus is growing. Residents need to know where to find essential services starting next week. Will the promise of zero downtime hold true for Palm Bay taxpayers during this transition?

The City of Palm Bay has announced the official relocation dates for two major departments moving into the newly completed Building E. Located at 120 Malabar Road SE, this facility is designed to provide a more accessible and modern space for residents and businesses alike.

Building E Update: Relocation Schedule

The Building Department will be the first to transition. They are scheduled to open their doors in the new building on January 12, 2026. This department handles critical permits and inspections that keep local development moving.

Utilities Customer Service will follow shortly after. Their move is set for January 20, 2026. Both departments will be fully operational in the new space immediately upon their respective move dates.

Service Continuity and Public Tours

City officials emphasize that there will be no downtime associated with these moves. All appointments, inspections, and payments should continue as scheduled without interruption. This commitment to efficiency is a key benchmark for the success of this expansion project.

The city also plans to host an Open House in the coming weeks. This event will offer guided tours of the new lobby, counter areas, and training rooms. Residents are encouraged to visit the facility and see the modern upgrades first hand.
